Singer Jannika B, 37, released a new single in mid-June. Paragraph Shit is about bad relationships and rebuilding yourself after a breakup.
The single release evoked many emotions in the listeners. Jannika B shared on her Instagram account one of the listeners’ feedback about the song, in which the author expresses that she is quite dissatisfied with the song.
– Jannika, what will your children say when they hear you sing a word like that. This seems to be the fashion these days, that ugly words are power words in songs. Come on, the song is good by the way, the comment is fine.
The singer did not stand still, but tapped the commenter’s answer.
– Hello! Martta already plays the chorus of the song sovereignly on the piano. He asked, “Mommy, do those letters mean toilet”. I explained to him that it’s a swear word that you can sometimes say as an adult if necessary, for example to mean people who come to make nasty comments about someone else’s appearance or clothing.
– So I taught my child healthy boundaries. Positive aggression is sometimes desirable. It’s empowering. For example, also when you hit your potty toe on the table leg. Right? The song also sings: “You learned to curse when it hurts. The therapist thinks it’s ok.”
Jannika B says in the publication’s caption that she was left thinking about her husband’s comment Toni Wirtanen with. According to Jannika B, Apulanta has never received similar feedback about curse words in songs.
– We thought about this phenomenon in reality. We discussed once again how big a difference it is to be a woman versus a man in public. It was found that there is a big difference between different platforms here on social media. It was also stated that with shouters it is not so much about gender, but about generation.
Jannika B and Toni Wirtase have children born in 2015 and 2021.
