The musician couple has invested in April Fools’ pranks.
Singer Jannika B and her husband Toni Wirtanen have taken April Fools’ Day pranks as their business over the years. Jannika, who came to perform at the radio gala on Friday, admits in an interview with Iltalehti that this year the planning of the April Fool’s prank has been forgotten.
One April Fool’s joke has stuck in Jannika’s mind above all others. The couple took advantage of their mess Martina and Esko – Attack on Colombia – program’s promo image. The reality series starring Martina Aitolehti, Esko Eerikäinen and their daughter was shown in 2011.
– It was an advertising picture and Vickan (Victoria Eerikainen) was a small baby. We had just received Martha. I Photoshopped my own face to Martina’s, Toni’s to Esko’s, Jannika describes.
Even though the couples’ styles didn’t match, the prank went through even in the family circle.
– After all, Esko has those tats – tribal tats and everything. It made me laugh that my own father also got upset and called to say “wait, are you going to a program like this?”, Jannika laughs.
Jannika revealed the truth and urged her father to take a closer look at the picture.
– I was like, since when has Toni had such terrible tats? Jannika says.

Jannika says that radio plays a big role in her career.
– I can be grateful that I can be a so-called radio artist, Jannika says.

Jannika is married to Apulanna’s soloist, Toni Wirtanen. They have two children together.
