Janne Haarala will continue as the coach of the Norwegian women’s alpine team

Janne Haarala will pilot the Norwegian women’s technology Alpine team for at least the next two years.

Janne Haarala has served as head coach of the Norwegian women’s technology alpine skiing national team for the past four seasons.

And works for at least two more seasons.

– I signed a two-year extension earlier this week. There were easy negotiations. The state of mind seemed to be reciprocal. Because of the family, I took a small overtime for the negotiations myself, Haarala says.

The Lahti kennel has been touring the world in alpine skiing for a long time.

– In 2006 I started in Finland. Will it not be full of these circles for 17 years? Jukka Leinon and Jukka Rajalan as a maintenance man I then started, Haarala, who lives in Maria Alm, Austria, with his wife and two daughters.

– He starts with the number 1–7 in the grand slalom. As a result, he is number one. Thea Stjernesund started last season ‘s grand slam in the World Cup plus 50, but finished 14th in the starting list. Mina Holtman dropped to the podium last season in the Åre World Cup, says the Finnish coach.

In total, Haarala’s technology team has 5-6 counters.

– We have a lot to grind. I saw the team this week in Oslo. There was a good mood on the training. Tough Norwegians are working hard.

Sölden and Levi

The white circus for alpine skiing will start as usual from Sölden, Austria, in the second half of October. Men and women will compete there in two slalom races.

Finland is once again prominently included in the World Cup calendar. The women will open the World Slalom season in Levi on 19-20. November.
