Janke Dekker is currently raging around because of the Volkskrant revelations about her husband Tom Egbers, but she did praise the newspaper when Matthijs van Nieuwkerk was the hare.
Janke Dekker’s image is shattered. Not because her husband Tom Egbers misbehaved on the NOS Sport studio floor, but because of serious doubts about her integrity. She had known about Tom’s affair in the workplace for years and years and was pointed out to other inappropriate behavior by RTL Boulevard last December.
Remarkable twist
Nevertheless, Janke simply remained as chairman of Mores, the reporting center for undesirable behavior in the media, and many people blame her for that. Because of her, the entire hotline has lost its credibility, but Janke still completely falls into the victim role. For example, she accuses de Volkskrant of not being objective.
Hypocritical, says Evert Santegoeds Show news. “Just look at the strange turn she’s made in the last 48 hours, because she said this last year.”
Janke praises Volkskrant
Then Janke appears with an interview she gave last December 14. In it she speaks out about the Volkskrant massacre of Matthijs van Nieuwkerk. “Yes, look, that Volkskrant article was apparently necessary, because it was reported and nothing was done with it. That is a role of journalism to report it if things are not going well.”
She continues: “But I hope that organizations will now take this to heart and no longer ignore things, but take it seriously, because a reporter is not difficult, but points out something that is not going well in your company. ”
‘This is so painful’
Embarrassing, says Bart Ettekoven. “Oh guys, this is so painful.”
Evert: “So it does apply to De Wereld Draait Door, but apparently not to NOS Studio Sport if you let these words sink in.”
He continues: “If the management does not intervene, then in the case of De Wereld Draait Door they think that a Volkskrant article is needed. Now there will be another Volkskrant article and it will be about her husband’s work and about her husband, and then suddenly it’s like: now we might take steps!”
Oil on the fire
Janke says in it AD that Tom’s affair with a NOS intern did indeed get out of hand, but that the misbehavior came from that intern, who allegedly stalked them. Bart: “But the strange thing is: whoever you hear on television or in interviews who worked on that NOS editorial staff, they all say they recognize themselves in that story of de Volkskrant.”
He doesn’t believe much of Janke’s story. “If the stalking really had been that bad, he would have just approached the editors-in-chief and said: ‘This woman is stalking me. It’s either she’s out or I’m out, because I’m not going to sit on the same editorial board with this woman.’”
