Jani Wickholm: aggravated drunk driving

Singer Jani Wickholm was sentenced to probation for aggravated drunk driving.

Impact singer Jani Wickholm44, has been convicted of aggravated drunk driving.

The Central Finland District Court ruled on the case on 25 May. Wickholm was sentenced to 45 days in prison and a 20-day fine, which means € 120 payable.

In addition, Wikholm has to pay the state 80 euros in crime victim fees and 42 euros in drug research costs. The verdict is final.

Wickholm drove a car on the night of January 13 drunk and derailed a snow project on Metsä-Piesalantie in Petäjävesi. Wickholm’s blood alcohol level after driving was 1.61 per mille. The per mille limit for aggravated drink-driving is 1.2.

According to the judgment of the Central Finland District Court, the circumstances were likely to endanger the safety of others.

Wickholm has upheld the charge.

Previous judgment

This is not Jani Wickholm’s first drunk driving sentence.

In 2019, Wickholm was sentenced to 50 days probation and 35 days for drunk driving. He suffered at the wheel of a car in Jämsä with 1.7 per cent drunk.

Jani Wickholm went public in 2004 when she placed second in Finland’s first Idols competition.
