Jandino Asporaat financially benefits the young fans who come to his chicken tent FC Kip. According to visitors, the pieces of chicken he sells are outrageously expensive. “47 euros?! What?!”

It was all very cleverly thought out by Jandino Asporaat: first he made the brand name FC Kip known at taxpayers’ expense – it was the name of a popular section in his NPO programs – and now he is completely exploiting it commercially. The comedian has opened a chicken joint of the same name in the center of Rotterdam.

‘Very expensive’

Telegraaf reporter Max van den Broek paid a visit and calls it ‘overpriced’, ‘way too busy’ and ‘only received 11 wings while we had ordered 14’. And also the people he gets in front of his camera are complaining about the very expensive prices that Jandino charges for some fried chicken pieces…

When a boy walks up with a paper bucket full of chicken pieces (‘tenders’) and two chicken burgers, the reporter asks him about the costs. The young Jandino fan then: “Yes, good question. 47 euros, I think.”

47 euros?!

Wow, 47 euros for some chicken pieces and a sandwich?! Jandino really exploits things to the maximum, the reporter thinks. He is terrified. “47 euros?!”

The hungry boy: “Yes, I was wondering too… I thought: that’s not cheap.”

The reporter: “That is really expensive. You really pay for the brand, I think.”

The chicken customer: “Yes, exactly. We’d better go to a restaurant. Hahaha.”

Pricey side

Another boy also had to use all his savings. “A large fries, a large milkshake and a large Your Mother bucket. 29 euros.”

Yet another: “31 euros. Yes, that is a lot, but we divide it by two.”

Miljuschka Witzenhausen says at RTL Boulevard to fear for Jandino. “How long will this hype last? You have a gigantic kitchen and that’s not nice, huh? Such a kitchen costs two or three euros. That really makes you think: ooh, exciting, let’s take out a loan.”
