Merdingen (dpa) – Jan Ullrich is auctioning off a special bike to help the victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Germany’s only Tour de France winner announced on an Instagram post that he was making a special edition for the 1998 Tour of France available for the benefit of “A Heart for Children”. “The terrible war in Ukraine and the incredible suffering of the people and families there shocks the whole world. Everyone is shocked and my heart is bleeding too,” said Ullrich.
The auction runs until April 6th. On Friday afternoon, the highest bid was 18,100 euros.
