Jan Slagter thwarts VI men: ‘No Louis van Gaal statues!’

Jan Slagter, the boss of Omroep MAX, personally ensured that Today Inside was not allowed to broadcast images of Louis van Gaal’s Op1 performance yesterday.

Louis van Gaal sat at the table at Op1 the day before yesterday and thus gave the program higher viewing figures than Today Inside. An evening later, yesterday, the men of VI wanted to look back on that performance by Louis, but they could not release the images from the public broadcaster. And that, according to Wilfred Genee, is the work of Jan Slagter.

Broadcast ban

Johan Derksen is surprised that Louis enjoys such privileges. “If he gives a speech, another station is no longer allowed to broadcast it,” he responds cynically.

Wilfred: “Oh yes, we can’t have the images, are we?”

John: “No.”

Wilfred: “I believe that the boss of MAX himself has laid down in front of it, Jan Slagter.”

chat, chat

Louis was interviewed by MAX presenters Charles Groenhuijsen and Carrie ten Napel. They have done a bad job, says Johan. “Louis again had a ‘genius’, self-righteous speech and nobody dares to ask a critical question, because then you immediately get chatter, chatter, klandere.”

“Girl Ten Napel (Carrie ten Napel, ed.) is therefore not the type to get a bit spicy, and neither is the Hans Worst next door (Charles Groenhuijsen, ed.). You can say to Van Gaal once, “Mr. Van Gaal, aren’t you having a great time blowing up something that is a piece of cake?” It’s that self-aggrandizement again, isn’t it?”

incoherent

René van der Gijp: “It was very incoherent. Even when Louis van Gaal was asked about childcare. Then he started talking about norms and values, but he was actually talking about Wilders, but he went around that with a big bow.”

Johan: “It’s all about Van Gaal and he brings very simple things as if it were science.”
