Jan Fabre’s turtle also suffers from vandalism at new location

The turtle is no longer on the dike since 2018, but in front of the Ysaracentrum. With this, the city wanted to protect the statue better against wind and weather, but the work of art also has a hard time there. Vandals climb the animal and damage the top layer. The surrounding water feature doesn’t seem to bother the adventurers.

Anyone who damages the image risks a large fine. A few cameras are monitoring the site, but police have yet to identify anyone.
