Jan Böhmermann follows up against Flynn Kliemann with “Böhmannsland”.

For some time now, Jan Böhmermann has been establishing new TV genres for his “ZDF Magazin Royale” – quasi in progress: the comedy-riot-investigative reportage, with singing interludes and costume change(s), is currently in the works.

The team, based in Cologne’s Ehrenfeld district, had their sights set on such illustrious figures as Clemens Tönnies (former supervisory board chairman of FC Schalke 04) or the “Schlager godfather” Michael Jürgens, who was/is largely responsible for the meteoric rise of Florian Silbereisen.

Current target: The influencer Fynn Kliemann from Esldorf in der Nordheide, who crashed after buying Corona masks. In a main topic called “Böhmannsland – Der Supercut”, the ZDF entertainer pulls his “creative project” through the proverbial cocoa (with oat milk, of course!).

“Böhmannsland” replaces “Kliemannsland”

Slogans that are customary in the industry, such as “this is not about making big bucks, it’s about community, just a sense of community,” Böhmermann already had before the moderator’s shotgun. In the studio, which was also technically specially built, “Böhmannsland” is now going into the long form.

The first short videos, christened “Supercut”, can be seen on the “Böhmi” (as his Rhenish buddies call him) YouTube channel. It’s over the top as ever. Böhmermann and his “staff” Daniel, Jenny and Benno scurry through the studio construction site. With the brazen Elon Musk manner, neither employment contracts nor tax rates interest him. Monsters of Neoliberal. The former 18 percent FDP of the 2000/2001 election campaign would have found their guru in this practice.

Sentences like “Alda, that’s not work, that’s participation. Or have you ever been paid to fill up a dirt bike track? Rome wasn’t built in a day either. And what’s more, you’re the very, very, very first to test the dirt bike route – so after me” is not only known in the hipster zones of Berlin or San Frau(ncisco).

“It was a great time with you guys. Two months full of crazy action, insane projects and above all: friendship,” says the PR release. The move of the “Royale” format of around 60 employees (m/f/d) to a separate hall in the hinterland of Äußere Kanalstraße, which was announced in December 2021. A bit further into the Cologne “Banlieues” – and thus even closer to the pulse of social reality in Germany (West).
