How would tomato meatball pasta with spaghetti sound to start the new week? Not funny, huh? Recipe service Kotikok’s meatball recipe was originally written by the English top chef Jamie Oliver, so it’s no wonder that the meatballs have impressed those who have tried the recipe.

Jamie Oliver’s Parmesan Mozzarella Meatballs

600 g minced meat

2 eggs

2 dl of water

1 tablespoon dried oregano

salt

chili, chopped to taste

Sauce:

1 pc finely chopped onion

chopped garlic to taste

dried oregano

1 pot of fresh basil

2 tbsp crushed tomatoes

salt, a pinch of sugar

In addition:

1 pkt mozzarella, sliced

½ dl of grated parmesan

boiled spaghetti for serving

1. Prepare the sauce first. Saute the chopped onion and crushed garlic in a splash of oil. Add the other ingredients and leave the sauce to simmer over low heat.

2. Make the meatball dough. Add the eggs, spices and minced meat. Stir. Roll into big balls. Fry the buns in olive oil in a pan so that they get a nice color on the surface.

3. Put the buns in the baking dish in layers with mozzarella slices and grated parmesan. Pour the tomato sauce on top and finish with mozzarella and parmesan.

4. Put the pan in the oven to cook for about 20 minutes, until the surface is nicely brown. Serve with spaghetti.
