James Earl Jones (91) quits as Darth Vader’s voice | Movie

Because Jones has transferred the rights to the film companies, his voice can be heard as that of the famous villain for many years to come. The sound can now be edited into productions via the computer. The companies would have agreed with Jones to “continue to discuss their plans with him and follow his advice to stay on the right course”.

James Earl Jones was first heard as the iconic character in the black helmet in 1977. He went on to be featured as the famous villain in both the theatrical films and the ‘Star Wars’ TV series for decades. The actor was not the man who literally went in the black suit. That honor went to David Prowse, who died of the corona virus in 2020 at the age of 85.
