James Bond series comes to Prime Video as a reality format

The last “James Bond” film was a while ago, but now Agent 007 is reappearing – albeit as a reality show on Amazon Prime Video. TECHBOOK reveals what this is all about.

“James Bond” goes on adventures again. However, it is not a film, but a game show as a series, which will be shown on Amazon Prime Video. The reality format is called “007: Road to a Million”. And the name of the new “James Bond” series also directly reveals the direction in which it will go.

The concept of “007: Road to a Million”

Around a year ago, the streaming service Amazon Prime Video announced a new “James Bond” format. The first trailer has now been released. It can be seen that this is not a “lame” studio show, but rather action-packed and adventurous.

18 candidates each have to solve various tasks, puzzles, etc. in teams of two. Not only intelligence is required, but also a good deal of courage and perseverance.

The focus is on the so-called “Controller”, played by Scottish actor Brian Cox. He acts as a showmaster and gives the participants questions and tasks, which range from tricky to daring. He also controls the participants. The pairs have to solve ten missions or questions. The winning couple will then receive prize money of one million British pounds.
