Jaimie Vaes is pretty beat up by one of the experts of Shownieuws. According to Story boss Guido den Aantrekker, she is someone who belongs more in the supermarket than in the media.
It disturbs Story boss Guido den Aantrekker immensely that Jaimie Vaes exposes her disturbed relationship with Jorik Scholten (Lil Kleine) in the media. She broke off their relationship after he severely mistreated her and is now solely responsible for raising their child. It’s an important topic in her own reality soap.
Jamie and her father
Shownieuws showed images from Jaimie’s soap last night. In it she talks with her father who lives in Bali about the abusive relationship she was in. “I always hoped it would pass,” he says.
Dyantha Brooks, presenter of the show section, after the item: “Yes, her situation with Lil Kleine has also turned out to be difficult for the family.”
Guido laughs about it: “Yes, I try to keep my face a bit serious. I actually have to laugh a bit about this.”
‘insignificant person’
Then Guido goes wild about Jaimie. “I personally think she’s a completely insignificant person who became known thanks to Lil Kleine, and I don’t think the other way around. She is now going to exploit this a bit herself in such a series. That does not alter the fact that it was of course a horrible story for her, let me be clear.”
Guido thinks she must stop living on her abuse. “If you really have your child’s interests in mind, you’re not going to do something like that anyway, but these are all people… Sorry to say it, but Jaimie is also someone who wants to take that piece of the limelight and who wants to become a star.”
Stocking shelves
Guido sees no star in Jaimie. “I don’t think she really has that in her. I’m sorry she does it that way.”
What should she do then? “Go roll up your sleeves in the supermarket. What’s so bad about that? There are so many people who just have a normal job. So why should you, if you happen to have become famous through your relationship, continue a life in showbiz?”
Hard laugh
Why would Jaimie go to work in the supermarket when she can use her fame to make some big cash? One thing is certain: a job in the supermarket cannot afford her current lifestyle. “That’s a hard laugh then, but that’s life I guess.”
