Jail sentences of up to 20 years demanded for ‘cold-blooded execution’ on Kruger Square

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has demanded a twenty-year prison sentence against a 23-year-old Amsterdammer for the murder of a 30-year-old man on November 18, 2020 on the Krugerplein in East. The suspect allegedly got into an argument with the man at a birthday party and locked him in with fellow suspects, beat him and finally shot him in the back and buttocks. The victim dies in hospital from his injuries.
