Now that it has been decided to prosecute Marco Borsato for indecency with a minor, you suddenly no longer hear Connie Witteman talking about reparations. The Public Prosecution Service thinks it has so much evidence that Marco can be convicted and that certainly changes the case. In the meantime, the Borsato children publicly support their father.

What does Jada think?

It is understandable to a certain extent that children support their father, but Jada does so in a somewhat wrong way. She said in Shownieuws that her family is going to ‘rock’ this terrible abuse case. You simply can’t say that, say critics like Yvonne Coldeweijer. “She’s just not that likable.”

What does Jada think about the fact that she and her family are under the magnifying glass of the juice channels? De Weekend asks her: “What does it do to you when you read messages in the media or on juice channels such as Life of Yvonne, which say, for example: ‘This is what Marco has done?’”

‘I don’t care!’

Jada states that Yvonne has no impact on her at all. “I don’t read all that. No, because I know what it’s like and what everyone else has to say about it, I don’t care.”

Jada says she already knows everything that comes up. “In any case, that. We are very open with each other, we talk about it openly. So we indeed already know what it’s like. And that’s the only important thing: that the people close to you know what’s going on. Whatever everyone else thinks and has to say about it: let it go.”

‘Do your thing!’

Constantly suggesting that intimates ‘know what’s going on’ is of course a slap in the face to Marco’s alleged victim. What Jada is indirectly saying is of course that the victim is talking nonsense.

And talk nonsense? The outside world apparently does the same, Jada apparently thinks. “I really let that slide past me. So if anyone, whoever it is, has something to say about it, do your thing. Fine. But we don’t care about it.”

Dead tired

The Weekend journalist: “You’re not afraid that something will come up that you don’t know yet?”

Jada: “No, absolutely not.”

Is Jada getting ‘tired to death’ of all the questions about her father? “I try to approach everything with positivity and that way we will probably get through it.”
