Jada Borsato gets a serious beating from Yvonne Coldeweijer. The juice queen does not find Marco Borsato’s daughter very sympathetic. “And ‘we’re going to rock it’? That is not possible!”
20-year-old Jada Borsato, daughter of Marco Borsato and Leontine Ruiters, is under fire for a very inappropriate statement about the abuse case against her father. It is unclear exactly what the singer told his family, but according to the Public Prosecution Service there is enough evidence to prosecute him for indecency with an underage girl.
‘To rock? That is not possible’
It is therefore starting to look more and more like this case involves a much too young and vulnerable victim. Yet Jada shouts over her back that her family is going to ‘rock’ this abuse case. “You can’t say that. Yes, it does bother me. I don’t think you can say that,” Yvone Coldeweijer responds in her podcast The Juice Show.
At the same time, Yvonne believes that Shownieuws should not have asked her for a response. “I actually don’t think it’s very chic that you ask the children of someone who is being prosecuted for a sexual offense involving a minor: ‘So, what do you think?’ Like some kind of sneaky guy. I just think it’s inappropriate for you to ask her that.”
Attention seeker
Yvonne believes it is justified that the Borsato children should receive a response when they make certain statements. “Yes, you know, the children really want to be in the media and they are of age, so if they attract that attention and they say something about it, I also think we can say something in return.”
Jada is also not very brief when it comes to her response, Yvonne thinks. “It was about ten sentences or so. And if you’re going to say, ‘We’re going to rock this,’ then yes… I think that’s her age. Maybe I’m being a bit strict, but I just think: that’s not how you call this. ‘We’re gonna rock this.’”
Not so sympathetic
Jada probably lacks empathy, according to Yvonne. “There is a victim on the other side who is like: I find it very exciting, a sexual offense against a very famous man. I don’t think that is appropriate. Anyway, on the other hand, that girl… I don’t like her that much. I just don’t like her that much.”
Yvonne doesn’t really follow Jada either. “She’s in Good Times, right? I don’t think she’s such a nice girl, but okay.”
‘Choose right words’
Co-host Mark Koster is not surprised. “I can also say a lot about children I know in Amsterdam, who also know her. And they also come up with these statements that she is not that sympathetic. But I have not done any further research into this and I have no intention of doing so.”
Son Luca Borsato says he knows more about the case than other people, questioning the victim’s credibility. Yvonne: “Yes, then I think: okay, I know more things. Anyway. You know, you can’t blame a kid for sticking up for his dad. But just choose the right words.”
