Jacquemus celebrates partnership with Net-A-Porter at Versailles

On the sidelines of Paris Fashion Week, the brand Jacquemus invited the fashion world to an intimate dinner at Versailles on October 4th. The reason for the invitation: a collection in partnership with the luxury fashion platform Net-A-Porter – which had already been on sale for a few days on the date in question.

The collection, unveiled beneath the gilded windows of the Palace of Versailles, marks a new chapter for the independent label and makes its entry into the eveningwear segment official. The 14 pieces of the “Le Soir” line appeared for sale in small quantities on September 29th on Jacquemus’ e-shop, its flagship store on Avenue Montaigne and on the Net-A-Porter website.

“We’re thrilled to be the exclusive retail partner for the first-ever Jacquemus eveningwear capsule,” said Kate Benson, buying director at Net-A-Porter in a statement. “The collection is everything we’ve come to expect from Simon, with every Piece that highlights attention to detail, craftsmanship and the embodiment of pure luxury.”

The presentation of the collection in the historic monument is a continuation of the “Le Chouchou” fashion show that took place at the Palace of Versailles in June last year. At the time, Bastien Daguzan, CEO of Jacquemus, told media outlet WWD that the brand’s appearance in such a prestigious location was part of a long-term strategy aimed at elevating the affordable luxury label.

The “Le Soir” capsule revolves around pieces with boutique prices that are higher than the brand’s classics. There is a long dress made of stretch velvet for 1,490 euros and jewelry from 310 euros. The prices are similar to those of some models from the “Le Chouchou” collection.

This strategy differs from other Jacquemus capsule collections launched in the past, which were offered at more affordable prices than the French brand’s main collection. This was the case, for example, with the Jacquemus x Nike line, whose prices were lower than those of the main Jacquemus collection.
