German outdoor brand Jack Wolfskin and international streetwear platform Highsnobiety are joining forces and launching a capsule, the brands announced on Wednesday.
The collection is inspired by ‘Gorpcore’, a style that combines streetwear, sportswear and outerwear. This trend has been given a boost by the pandemic and has found its place in collaborations such as between Gucci and The North Face and Jil Sander and Arc’teryx. After Jack Wolfskin had already worked with the hip Berlin label GmbH for FW21, the streetwear trendsetter Highsnobiety, who is also based in the German capital, is now following.
Jack Wolfskin and Highsnobiety have developed seven models that combine a modern look with the technical know-how of the outerwear supplier. For this, the waterproof and breathable technology ‘Texapore Ecosphere’ is used, which consists of recycled and reused materials. Part of the collections are jackets and peaked caps, as well as various types of bags.
Jack Wolfskin x Highsnobiety is available from May 11th and costs between 30 euros for a belt bag and 300 euros for jackets.
