For those who are dreading November, this news should give them warmer thoughts: Jack Johnson will be giving open-air concerts in three German cities next summer. On June 11, the singer-songwriter will perform at the Hamburg Stadtpark Open Air, on June 13 at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne and on June 16 at the Zitadelle Spandau in Berlin.

Ecological concerts

As is well known, the surfer and musician cares a lot about preserving mother nature. So it’s not surprising that the 47-year-old and his staff also insist on sustainability during the “Meet The Moonlight World Tour” – including saving energy, sourcing local food, using reusable materials and water refill stations. On top of that, one euro from every ticket purchase supports local climate protection measures.

About Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson grew up surfing and playing guitar on the North Shore of the Hawaiian island of O’ahu. He released his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales, in 2001. Four years later, the long-player “In Between Dreams” reached number 1 on the US album charts. It brings together some of his most popular tracks to date such as “Better Together”, “Banana Pancakes”, “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing” and “Good People”. In total, it sold over six million copies worldwide. Johnson’s latest record, Meet The Monlight, was released on June 23 of this year.
