★★1/2 Successful horror film with a monster/demon offering salvation to a sick woman in exchange for victims. The “monster” part is gimmicky enough to work properly; the “drama” part has its complexities but is not sufficiently exploited. Still, it honorably and humbly complies with the tradition of a great genre.
