Will there be a School Of Rock sequel anytime soon? The cast is set to reunite to mark the 20th anniversary of the cult film. Jack Black announced this in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” at. The 53-year-old musician, comedian and actor starred as Dewey Finn on School Of Rock. He arrives at a new school as a substitute teacher, teaching a class of 10-year-old students the art of rock.
Rumors of a possible “School Of Rock” sequel have been around for some time. Jack Black said in an interview with SiriusXM that he was interested in rebooting the film. He also raised hopes for a sequel to Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny. According to Black, he is seriously considering implementing these two projects.

In any case, one thing is certain: the cast of “School Of Rock” will meet again in October – that’s when the film celebrates its anniversary. Jack Black reminisces: “These kids – check this out – they were all 10 years old when we made the movie and they’re all like 30 now,” half of the Tenacious D duo said in the interview. “We will come together and celebrate the 20th anniversary. We like to jam,” Black continued. He is very happy to see the adults from “School Of Rock” again. Elsewhere, Black also promised that he would be sharing footage from the event on social media.
In 2013 – on the tenth anniversary of the film – such a reunion of the former rock school took place. Back then, the actors even performed a cover version of the film’s song “Rock Got No Reason” at the Gibson Austin Showroom.
