Jaakko Saariluoma reveals to Jenni Pääskysaari that his appearance did not make the desired impression on his dating partner.
MTV
Jenni of Pääskysaari from pulling Studio Pääskysaari – program shows the final episode of the first season, and a television face known to the whole nation arrives as a guest Jaakko Saariluoma. The two go through Saariluoma’s life with the help of old photos.
In one picture, Saariluoma poses with a smile on her side Minna-wife and the couple’s two sons. The married couple have many years together. However, the love story was almost cut short.
Saariluoma recalls how he once succeeded in luring Minna on a date with him using fatigue tactics. When the long-awaited evening finally arrived, the man’s appearance did not raise points. Namely, Saariluoma had grown her hair into a “pepewillberg-like” long braid for the role.
– Minna has said afterwards that based on her external characteristics, she would never have gone on another date, Saariluoma reveals.
However, the sense of humor brought us together, and luckily the fun evening was continued. There is plenty of laughter even today.
– We’ll probably have fun together even after the external features disappear.
Saariluoma also states in the episode that he never wanted to make a career in television. The actor, who excelled in theater, was first seen on screen as the “producer” of the W-style talk show parody in 2003. Now his television career is two decades behind him.
It was his own family and fatherhood that finally made the actor switch to television work: he would have spent all evenings in the theater. Saariluoma missed the rhythm and permanence of his everyday life.
– Then it happened that I did live broadcasts of TV shows and went to stand-up gigs. It was from the ditch to the spring, but I wasn’t home in the evenings.
When Pääskysaari asks Saariluoma what kind of father and husband he wanted to be, both get the same answer: present.
