Conductor, violinist and composer Jaakko Kuusiston the urn has been laid to rest in the tomb. Kuusisto died of a brain tumor in February.
The widow of Kuusisto Maija Kuusisto shared an update about urning with their open Facebook account.

In her publication, Maija Kuusisto says that the urn was lowered on the eve of a couple of wedding days on June 29th. In addition to Kuusisto’s name, the tombstone also shows his mother, Marja-Liisa Kuusiston name. According to the date shown in the tombstone, Kuusisto’s mother died just weeks after her son left.
Kuusisto died on February 23 in Oulu. He was 48 years old at the time of his death. In the summer of 2020, spruce was diagnosed with a brain tumor that was resected in August of the same year. After extensive surgery, the tumor was treated with radiotherapy and cytostatics, Kuusisto told Yle in November 2020.
Kuusisto’s condition worsened earlier this year and he was hospitalized.
Jaakko’s brother, violinist, told me about the departure on social media Pekka Kuusistoaccording to which the patient ‘s time in Kuusisto was not typical of the disease.
Kuusisto was born in Helsinki on January 17, 1974 to a family of musicians. As well as his grandfather Taneli Kuusisto that father Ilkka Kuusisto were composers.
