The futsal players of FC Marlène will have a new head coach next season. Iwan de Mees succeeds Jeroen de Groot. Ferdinand Hofland will become De Mees’ assistant.
De Mees was previously a trainer of FC Marlène. Then he took the national title, two KNVB cups and the super cup. He then held various other positions within the club. In recent years he was in charge of the women’s team of the Heerhugowaarders.
Hofland also has a lot of experience. As a player he played for FC Marlène. He also trained various youth teams at the Heerhugowaarders. He was also a trainer of first division club Kondo Budjang.
“We have set high stakes for these positions. The coaching staff must set the tone for next season. I am very happy that we have these experienced coaches in house for next season. Men who have the Marlène DNA.”
