Since mid-July, Schiermonnikoog has been looking for a person who can convey the news with a loud voice. The municipality found the lack of the previous village crier, Jelle Woudstra, who died last year, too great. Prins already missed the village crier himself, and people around him had pointed out that he would be a great fit.
