Ivana Trump (73), ex-wife of Donald Trump, died: “Police are investigating whether she fell down the stairs” | Abroad

Ivana Trump, the ex-wife of former US President Donald Trump, has died aged 73. The Trump family reports this on the social media channel ‘Truth Social’. Her body was reportedly found at the bottom of a staircase. Police are now investigating whether she made an accidental fall, according to the New York Post.

Two anonymous sources have now also confirmed the news to the AP news agency. Trump – born Ivana Zelnickova in what was then Czechoslovakia – officially died of cardiac arrest in her Manhattan home. There is no question of a burglary or other malicious intent.

“Our mother was an incredible woman, a strong entrepreneur, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty and a caring mother and friend,” the statement said. “Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled communism and embraced this country. She taught her children perseverance, toughness, compassion and determination.”

Ivana was Donald Trump’s first wife. They married in 1977 and had three children together – Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr. – and ten grandchildren. In 1992 the couple divorced.
