Russian goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov, 25, was arrested on Friday in St. Petersburg. Fedotov was arrested on suspicion of evading the army.
On Saturday, his lawyer Alexei Ponomarev told Match TV that the goalkeeper had been taken to the hospital after he complained of feeling unwell.
Ponomarjov said that they want to transfer Fedotov to “some kind of military investigation”.
– There is currently no contact with Ivan. We’ll figure it out. Is it known where he is? Unfortunately, no. We are trying to figure it out, Ponomarjov said on Sunday Championatin according to RIA Novosti.

According to the latest information, Fedotov would still be in the hospital, but this is not certain.
According to Ponomarjov, he will hear the answer to the complaint about violation of the invitation procedure on Monday. The appeal was filed with the court.

Fedotov was born in Lappeenranta. The top goalkeeper played last season for the KHL’s big club Moscow TsSKA, but signed a one-year contract with the NHL club Philadelphia Flyers in May.
The arrest is believed to be revenge from the CSKA.
