It’s time! This day the first vegan restaurant opens in the Dorpsstraat

We recently told you that a new vegan restaurant will open in Zoetermeer soon. Well, we can tell you the opening date.

Stephanie van Schilt from the Ministry of Happiness restaurant is ready to introduce Zoetermeer residents to vegan cuisine. On Thursday 18 May she will open her new business in the Dorpsstraat.

Lots of color and craziness

Stephanie is not only creative in coming up with colorful vegan dishes, she also gives them funny names. Think of the wrap crispy * uck, cool tofu, hapsalon, shawarma wraps and BAKKEL VANMIJVOORJOU.

Criticism on social media

Opening a vegan restaurant in Zoetermeer provoked quite a few reactions on social media. ‘I’m not a rabbit after all’ and ‘Give my share to Flappie’ are examples of criticism that followed our news item on Facebook were placed. Stephanie came up with a brilliant plan to turn the negativity into something positive. That’s why she made colorful posters with the above ‘inspiring quotes’, as she calls them. Forks, knives and spoons

On Thursday 18 May, the Ministry of Happiness will open its doors from 4 p.m. Stephanie invites everyone for a snack and a drink. The drinks are for your own account, the snacks are on the house. “In return, I ask all guests to bring cutlery. Old and new forks, knives and spoons in all styles, materials and colors because cutlery is the only thing that is still missing. Everyone is more than welcome.”
