The fatal accident at the Condroz Rally, where two young people were killed yesterday, does not appear to be the first of the rally. Between 1995 and today, the Condroz Rally was responsible for almost half of all rally deaths in our country. Local residents are therefore not happy about the incident: “Every year there are accidents, injuries or deaths here. The speed limit here is 50, not 160 or 180 km/h.” According to motorsport experts, the Condroz Rally is more of a local folk festival than a sports competition for a connoisseur public and safety is sometimes hard to find.
