WNL boss Bert Huisjes is under heavy fire because he appears to be a horrible employer. His transgressive behavior is endorsed by well-known presenters such as Roos Moggré, Eva Jinek, Nikki Herr, Leonie ter Braak, Margreet Spijker and Merel Westrik. And yesterday Elodie Verweij also joined in.
Fidan hit
What does Fidan Ekiz think? She is one of the presenters of Op1 on behalf of WNL. “I have to say that when I started working at WNL there were already some things going on. I have always had good and professional contact with him, but I am shocked by what I have read. From the intensity of it,” she says on NPO Radio 1.
“It has touched me. These are colleagues I have known for a long time and I found it really sad to see and read what they have experienced.”
On the plain
Presenter Lex Uiting notices that Fidan keeps a low profile. “We also know Fidan as an opinion maker. He doesn’t shy away from a riot here or there. Yet she is quite conservative about this and says she has not experienced it herself. Do you understand that?” he says RTL Boulevard.
TV expert Rob Goossens then: “Yes, of course. If you haven’t experienced it, it’s a bit crazy to say you have. Precisely because she is always very outspoken, I certainly want to accept it from her.”
‘She’s holding back’
Rob understands that Fidan is not that bothered by Bert. “She is a freelancer and never has to worry about a schedule, because she just knows her regular Op1 day. And of course she didn’t get pregnant while she was working there. In that regard, I believe so.”
