The RAE cleans, fixes, gives splendor and is about to provoke a new civil war in Spain. The battle, in fact, “only& rdquor; has been resumed. Meanwhile, we persevered in embellishing adverbs and pronouns with these beautiful and explanatory accents, and we were persecuted for it with the utmost cruelty. I myself have seen how the editors of this newspaper, and those of the publishers in which I publish my books, murdered on orders from the RAE (and even the Fundéu, of which I was a member!) to these poor accents. My texts, written with accents, appeared without them: purged, and the gratitude that I should have professed to the proofreaders for finding my errors and executing them turned to bitterness when discovering that they had applied the same medicine to my adverbs.
