No good prospects for Berlin’s economy. Every second business owner expects their situation to deteriorate.
The hospitality industry is particularly bad. Here, 71 percent expect lousy figures.
Then there is the trade: The industry is complaining about massive price increases for energy and raw materials.
In plain language: It is about livelihoods, about the survival of companies, mostly medium-sized companies. Sad when the baker, the restaurateur, the car repair shop or the dry cleaning have to give up.
Now it is important that the appeal by Jürgen Wittke, the general manager of the Chamber of Crafts, does not go unheeded and is implemented quickly.
It is about formulating the hardship regulations for the craft businesses in a targeted manner.
This is the only way companies can be helped through the economically tough winter.
