The September European Championship qualifying window was completed on Tuesday, when the A, C, F and I groups played their second matches.

In the most difficult place was Italy, which started its own qualifying campaign with a cough, and lost its head coach Roberto Mancini To Saudi Arabia just a few weeks ago.

The Azzurri are known to be the reigning European champions, but only the host country (Germany) gets a free ticket to the final tournament. Italy’s main opponent in the qualification is Ukraine, because England has already run away practically to win the group.

Milan’s San Siro saw a new coach, the one who led Napoli to the championship Luciano Spallettihome debut. Davide Frattesi scored two goals in half an hour right into Ukraine’s net, and everything started to look sunny again.

Andri Jarmolenko however, the narrowness just before the half-time whistle revealed the weakness of Italy’s defense.

There were no more goals in the second period, so Italy jumped ahead of Ukraine to the second place in the group. In addition, it has played one match less than the yellow shirts.

Norway needs a miracle

On Tuesday, as the only team with a mathematical confirmation of a place in the competition, Scotland could have received a qualifying sensation. For that, Norway and Georgia should have ended in a draw in Oslo.

However, that hope disappeared immediately in the opening episode, when Erling Haaland and Martin Ødegaard 18-year-old Norwegian Comet completed the goal Antonio Nusan performances.

However, Norway’s 2-1 home win threatens to remain just an anecdote, as Scotland only need two points from the last three rounds to secure their place at the European Championships in Germany.

The second straight race pass of the group is going to Spain, who beat Cyprus on Tuesday without any problems no less than 6–0.

Of course, Haaland can still be seen in the final tournament, because Norway may have the opportunity to use the spare cartridge that comes out of the Nations League in the form of an EC play-off.

Of course, Huuhkaji has a bigger chance for that. Unlike the fjords, Finland also has a direct European championship place still in its own hands. Norway would also need help from others to overtake Spain (two points ahead, one match less played).

Sweden out?

Haaland would by no means be the only top striker who would be left out of the EC final tournament.

Also the fang of Barcelona and the Polish national team Robert Lewandowski seems to follow the games from his home sofa. Super surprise Albania beat Poland on Sunday, leaving the Red and Whites only in the fourth place of their group.

Sweden’s qualification route also practically stood up when it lost to Austria at home on Tuesday. 1-3 losing numbers leave nothing to be desired.

The two EC spots in Group F are going to Belgium and Austria. The duo is as much as seven points ahead of Sweden, with only three rounds to play.

On Tuesday, the geopolitical conflict was seen in Bucharest, where home supporters had prepared a “Kosovo is part of Serbia” sheet. The visiting team refused to play unless it was removed from the stands.
