The Italian government has declared a state of emergency for the entire country due to the rapidly growing number of migrants arriving via the Mediterranean. The state of emergency, which will last six months, has initially set aside 5 million euros to facilitate the establishment of new reception centers for refugees in the south of the country, ANSA news agency reports.
