In October, scooters recorded a +9.8% in registrations in Italy, while motorbikes are still suffering from the post-end of Euro 5, recording a -9.6%. The market overall rose 1.1%.
The Eicma 2025 event will show the news for next year. Focusing instead on the present, the data on Italian registrations in October confirm the trend for the rest of the year: scooters in great shape and motorbikes slowing down. Overall, this is the fourth consecutive month of growth for the motorized two-wheeler market: +1.09%equivalent to 25,355 vehicles sold. In the period from January to October 2025, a loss of 2.17% was recorded (318,416 units sold), confirming the recovery after a disastrous first half of the year (lowest point in April, -10%).

In the past month, 14,985 scooters were registered, which corresponds to one growth of 9.8%. In the ten months of 2025 the increase compared to last year was 8.82%, equal to 182,325 units sold. As for motorbikes, the suffering linked to the transition to Euro 5+ standards since the beginning of the year continues: since at the end of 2024 there was a real race to purchase the latest Euro 5 motorbikes at attractive prices, the 2025 statistics appear punitive. In October the loss was 9.59%, equivalent to 8,942 vehicles sold. While for the ten months of 2025 the deficit was 12.66%, equal to 123,918 units sold.
