In less than a week the Venetians will find Genoa, Vivarini’s team will play at the Parma Tardini. Cerignola still at home with Hellas
After the poker trimmed by Entella to Ternana (the Ligurians will visit Cagliari), the preliminary turn of the Italian Cup is completed with the other three games. Here is all that happened in Sunday’s challenges.
Padua-Vicenza 0-2
–
The wait for the re-proposal of the Veneto derby was great, which was promotion in group A of the last series C. This time, unlike what happened in the spring, Vicenza celebrates that passes with a goal in time at Auganeo (2-0) and earns the Ferragosto at Ferraris (on the Genoa camp). The success of Fabio Gallo’s team brings the signatures of two new arrivals (the former Capello in 14 ‘and then Caferri at the beginning of the second half) and is deserved for what was seen on the pitch. Under the eyes of Papu Gomez, Padua still appears packed and shows the best things only in the final, with the crossbar affected by the former Inter of May.
Cerignola-Avellino 1-0
–
In his first historic game in the Italian Cup of the “Great”, Enzo Maiuri’s Cerignola takes away the satisfaction of beating Avellino’s measure. Here too, taking an indirect revenge compared to the outcome of the last C championship. After an hour of play, Cuppone solves, rejecting on the goal after the excellent parade of Iannarilli on the header of Visentin. In full recovery Crespi has the great opportunity for the peer, but does not materialize it. And so the dream of Cerignola continues: on Monday 18 August at 6 pm, again at Monterisi, it will host Verona.
Pescara-Rimini 1-0
–
The only field that sees the respected prediction – with the newly promoted team in B that exceeds that of C – is the Adriatic. At Pescara the goal of Valzania (winning left before the interval) is enough to overcome Rimini, who came to play it in the middle of the corporate crisis, after the resignation of the DS Nember and with the coach Braglia sitting in the stands (not on the bench). Vivarini’s biancazzurri will now find Parma at Tardini, Sunday 17 August at 18.30.
