The police fined an Italian motorist on Friday night. The 59-year-old man drove more than 70 kilometers too fast on the A16 highway near Prinsenbeek. His wife was discovered a little later: she had gotten behind the wheel under the influence.
The Italian was caught during a speed check on the A16 highway near Prinsenbeek. According to the police, he flew by at a speed of 189 kilometers per hour. The Italian had to surrender his driving license a little further away, on Graaf Engelbertlaan in Breda.
His wife took over the wheel, but she also did not follow the rules very closely. She was checked in East Brabant because she was driving along the road while weaving. That was not without reason: the woman appeared to be under the influence. A report has also been drawn up against her.
