IT, mechatronics and public services in the Bruges-Torhout region
The spacious Bruges-Torhout region counts almost a quarter of all companies in our province. The largest economic sectors are public services, IT, mechatronics and machinery. With more than 12,000 employees, the IT and mechatronics sector accounts for almost 3% of total employment in our province. Public services account for 6.4% of all jobs in West Flanders.
