The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland, Yaroslav Kaczynski, listed the sanctions that, in his opinion, should be applied to Russia. According to Kaczynski, the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 pipelines, as well as the financial system of the Russian Federation, should be subject to restrictions. The Deputy Prime Minister of Poland added that an effective measure would be “disconnection from the settlement system.”
Kaczynski said that a number of personal sanctions should also be used. “In my opinion, they should include Putin himself,” he said.
Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the imposition of sanctions against five Russian banks and three persons: Gennady Timchenko, Boris and Igor Rotenberg.
In the United Kingdom, their assets will be frozen, and they themselves will be banned from visiting England.
The Swiss authorities are discussing the introduction of restrictive measures against Russia with “several states”, but will not impose sanctions simultaneously with other countries, said RIA News representative of the Federal Department Fabian Mayenfisch.
In turn, Hungary refused to support the imposition of a package of sanctions prepared by the EU in response to Moscow’s recognition of the independence of the DNR and LNR.
