It has also been affected by the fact that he has been diagnosed with an adjustment disorder manifested as anxiety. Kyrö says that he received the diagnosis in question in 1996, when he was in the army.

– I wanted to do lighter work when I started having shortness of breath. You couldn’t get a service class bill with an asthma diagnosis, so you had to apply for an anxiety diagnosis. So I have both asthma and an adjustment disorder manifested as anxiety, Kyrö says in the episode.

The writer used to talk about his diagnosis more as a joke, but today he feels there is some point in it.

– It has always been difficult with the authorities and the urpas. I can follow a leader who is credible, good and has the right direction, he opens.

The writer’s problems with authorities started already in elementary school, when the teacher told Kyrö at the age of 10 that he would not become a “full member of society”. The prediction given by the teacher was actually a punishment for accidentally breaking a hammer in sculpture class.

– Maybe he was wise from afar and did it on purpose. He started this process, which eventually led to me sitting here with you, Kyrö humorously reflects to the podcast host Aki Linnanahte.
