Saturday’s UFC night in Jacksonville, Florida saw a dangerous injury when Austen Lane fingers crossed Justin Tafan into the eyes.

Matsia was only 27 seconds behind when the New Zealander could no longer see properly. Tafa’s eyes swelled up after the hit, and the doctor immediately arrived at the cage.

The match was stopped due to the accident.

– I deserve my victory bonus, it was a rule violation, Tafa wrote after the match on Twitter and published a picture of his face.

The man said that he feared he had lost his sight forever.

– To be honest, I felt like my eyeballs had been ripped out. My first thought was, will I see my children again, Tafa said.

After the match, he saw everything blurry and hoped the injury wasn’t bad.

Lane apologized for what happened on Twitter.

– Justin Tafa… I apologize. I didn’t want it to end this way. This shit is going to piss me off and I hope your eye is okay, Lane wrote.

Tafa has fought in the freestyle cage as a professional ten times. He has left the arena as a winner six times. There are three losses and now one suspension.
