Istanbul-Sultanahmet stage of the 58th Presidential Türkiye Cycling Tour has started



The eighth and last leg of the 58th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (Tour of Turkey 2023) Istanbul-Sultanahmet stage has started.


The start of the stage was given from Hagia Sophia Square by the protocol members, including Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Presidential Administrative Affairs Directorate General Director of Support and Financial Services Mehmet Tuncer and President of the Turkish Cycling Federation Emin Müftüoğlu.


132 cyclists from 24 teams are participating in the 130.5-kilometer Istanbul-Sultanahmet leg of the tour.


In this stage of the race, the cyclists are in the 40.3rd stage of the stage. They will pass through the 3rd category climbing bonus gate. The athletes who pass the gate in the first three places will score 5-3-1 for the “King of the Mountains” classification.


Racers closed the last sprint gate of TOUR 2023 with a time of 65.3. They will travel in km. With 41.2 km left to go, the peloton will pass through the Turkish Beauties bonus gate and fight towards the finish.


Minister Bak and Cycling Federation President Müftüoğlu met with the Spor Toto Team before the race and took a souvenir photo with the athletes.
