Israel’s national soccer team has to play four European Championship qualifying games in November. UEFA decided this after canceling all matches planned for October in the country shaken by the Hamas terrorist attack.
Israel will now play on November 12th (in Kosovo), 15th (against Switzerland), 18th (against Romania) and November 21st (in Andorra). It is still unclear where the home games will be played.
Because the original release period only applies from November 13th to 21st, there is an exception for the game in Kosovo: clubs that do not belong to any of the associations involved only have to release one player.
Israel plays in Group I, in which no team has yet secured a ticket to the tournament in Germany.
UEFA recently postponed all games under its jurisdiction in Israel indefinitely. The qualifying game for the U21 European Championship between Israel and Germany, originally scheduled for October 17th, was also affected, for which there is no new date yet.
