The United Nations, which reported the warning, “considers such a movement impossible” without there being “devastating humanitarian consequences.”
The United Nations has announced that the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Israel has given 24 hours to evacuate 1.1 million Palestinians which are located in the northern area of the Gaza Strip, controlled by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
UN spokesman Stéphane Dujarric explained to the Axios news portal that the Israeli side had given a warning “just before midnight (local time)” by which the Palestinians had to evacuate to the southern part of the enclave.
“This is equivalent to approximately 1.1 million people. “The same order has applied to all United Nations personnel and those sheltered in UN facilities, including schools, health centers and clinics,” he added.
Dujarric, who has stated that it is “impossible for such a movement to take place without devastating humanitarian consequences”, has called for “any order of this type, if confirmed, to be rescinded, avoiding what could transform what is already a tragedy into a calamitous situation.
This deadline takes place when Israel, which has completely besieged the Gaza Strip, has threatened to launch a ground incursion into the Palestinian territory.
