The Ministry of Health reports one dead and at least 15 injured. The fatal victim is an Islamic Jihad commander, an official from the group said, without naming the victim. According to unconfirmed reports, it is Taysir al-Jabari.
The airstrikes follow unrest in the region after the arrest of two senior members of Islamic Jihad, which has a large presence in Gaza. The pair were recently arrested in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
