Iserlohn conceded first bankruptcy under new coach Poss

The Iserlohn Roosters went away empty-handed for the first time in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) under new coach Greg Poss.

The Sauerlanders lost 3-0 (0-0, 0-0, 0-3) at the Adler Mannheim, after four consecutive wins the winning streak came to an end. Under Poss, the club had won all three previous games.

On the 15th day of play, ERC Ingolstadt beat the Nürnberg Ice Tigers 4:1 (1:1, 0:0, 3:0) and, with 28 points, secured third place in the table behind Fischtown Pinguins Bremerhaven (34) and runners-up Red Bull Munich (30).

The Kölner Haie (18) are still eighth after the 2:3 (1:0, 0:1, 1:1, 0:1) after extra time against Wolfsburg. The grizzlies (24) occupy seventh place.

In Mannheim, the fans saw two goalless thirds, David Wolf (41st) broke the spell and brought the eagles forward. Borna Rendulic (54′) followed suit in the closing stages, the Croatian put the lid on it with a shot into the empty goal (58′).

Former national coach Poss replaced his dismissed US compatriot Kurt Kleinendorst in Iserlohn in the middle of the month. In the fourth-placed Eagles, 57-year-old Poss experienced the first setback.
