ISEE University 2023/24: new thresholds for exemptions
In light of the obvious difficulties caused by price increases of all kinds, it was also necessary to update the thresholds for exemptions relating to the 2023/24 academic year. And so, i ISEE maximum limits (Indicator of the Equivalent Economic Situation) and that ISPE (Equivalent Asset Situation Indicator) for access to benefits relating to the right to education have been increased.

To save something, therefore, It’s a good idea to hurry and check your ISEE and especially, to fill it in correctly to understand how much the figures for enrollment or enrollment in the second year may decrease, or even if there is the possibility of be exempted from payment in full.
Nothing to pay with the ISEE of 26 thousand euros
And so, if previously the thresholds were set at 24,335.11 for the ISEE and 52,902.43 for the ISPE, the maximum ISEE limit for the academic year 2023/2024 increased to 26,306.25 euros, while the ISPE at 57,187.53. This means that if the two certificates remain within these figures, no university fees will have to be paid.
Scholarships are also increasing
With directorial decree 203 of 23 February 2023 the increases concerned also for scholarships. The minimum amounts of the scholarships are updated for the 2023/2024 academic year due to the change in the Istat general index of consumer prices for families of workers and employees corresponding to the value equal to +8.1% and are defined as follows:
- off-site students: 6,656.52 euros
- commuter students: €3,889.99
- students on site: €2,682.77
