Isa Hoes exposes Achmed Akkabi as a huge ego tripper. The two were supposed to interview each other seven years ago for the LINDA, but he didn’t ask a single question. “Nothing!”
LINDA magazine. regularly invites two well-known Dutch people, who then talk to each other. That was seven years ago also the case with Isa Hoes and Achmed Akkabi, but that did not go quite as intended. “Antoinnette Scheulderman was also there then. I remember,” the actress tells her podcast with Marc Marie.
ego tripper
Isa didn’t realize at first that she was spending the day with an ego tripper. “First you do the photo shoot all day. A very nice shoot, it was fun and I already knew him, because we are both actors and also played together in a film by Johan Nijenhuis.”
She is referring to the comedy film Alibi. “That’s what I thought when I came on set: I think they now think I’m too old. They didn’t send me away but I had to play the affair off him and he was much younger. I thought: ooh, help.”

Back to the interview for the LINDA. “Yes, then we had the interview in the restaurant in the evening after the shoot. We had dinner and the interview in a restaurant in the evening and I already noticed during that interview that Antoinnette was a bit irritated. Then he had to go home and she said: ‘That was terrible.’”
Afterwards, Isa and Antoinnette gossiped a lot about Achmed and his lack of interest. “Then I said, ‘What exactly?’ She said, “Well, he didn’t ask you.” I said, “No, I figured that out.” ‘But that was the idea! He had to interview you!’ He was only talking about himself. Always interesting, huh?”
A lot of understanding
It is not the case that Isa is completely done with Achmed because of this day. “I still like him, but that’s because I always have a lot of understanding for people, I think. Very understanding!”
By the way, you may wonder who will be most bothered by this outpouring of Isa: Achmed or Antoinnette? Antoinnette is LINDA’s star interviewer. and of course it doesn’t look very professional and honest that she apparently gossip about her interview guests afterwards.
