End of career? The stage exit at the tour finale and deleted social media content are causing rumors.
The rumor mill about a possible end to Alligatoah’s career is bubbling: his tour conclusion on Monday (November 20th) in the sold-out Lanxess Arena in Cologne took place in front of 16,000 spectators. The show, which also marked the finale of his “ReTour” tour, ended with a confusing exit for the 34-year-old.
What does the message “You’re welcome 1989-2023” mean?
Still on stage, at the end of his last piece, the evergreen “Funeral Song,” Alligatoah and the stage were covered by a grave cross on a huge screen. The inscription “You’re welcome 1989-2023” could be read on it. Fans are now speculating whether Alligatoah could have given up his career.

Alligatoah’s own funeral: A well-known symbolism
The image of the grave cross has been known for ten years: in 2013, Alligatoah released a music video for the “Funeral Song” that showed his own staged funeral.
Fans fear the end of his career
Alligatoah’s social media accounts also raise questions. With the exception of one image, all content on TikTok and Instagram has disappeared. Next to the posting, which shows a black and white sketch, “FIN” is written in capital letters.
A fan commented on the post with the words: “I was just at the concert in Cologne and unfortunately the last words sounded very final…”
Another wrote: “If you planned on September 20, 2013 to bury yourself on November 20, 2023, you are not only one of the greatest artists of our time, but also completely crazy. If that is the case, all that remains is to say thank you. You are and will remain the final boss.”
